Ben Kerido / From Israel with Love
President Donald J. Trump is in very grave danger, and the very existence of the United States as a free and democratic constitutional republic is at extraordinary risk. Many Americans are feeling helpless, unsure of what to do. In such moments, it is paramount that we connect with the Almighty Creator through prayer.
Join us as we pray for President Trump
In traditional Judaism, we have a practice of chanting and reciting Tehillim (Psalms) as a prayer. The concept is that we can align ourselves with the intense, heartfelt words and raw, tangible emotion of King David (or other authors). And in that mode we present our request to the Most High. We also receive encouragement and rebuild our hope, striving to trust wholly and completely in the Holy One, Blessed Be He.
The Holy Temple first built by King Solomon once stood in the heart of Jerusalem, and the Shechinah Presence of the Almighty “resided” in the Holy of Holies within that Temple. Tragically, the Temple was destroyed, and only the outer courtyard walls remain. The Western Wall of this Temple complex is known in Hebrew as the Kotel. For thousands of years Jewish worshippers and many others (including Donald Trump as the first and only sitting American president to do so) have come from around the world to pray at this location. There, worshippers pray at the ancient stones in order to be as physically close as reasonably possible to the location where the Shechinah Presence of the Most High once rested.
It is customary to write a note of prayer and place it in the ancient stone walls of the Kotel (just like President Trump did). On July 4th, 2023, Ben Kerido will prayerfully recite Tehillim (Psalm) 37 and other prayers at the Kotel, and place a note of prayer in the wall. You can add your name to this note of traditional prayers for President Trump and America in the heart of Jerusalem at the holiest site on earth. (See a sample of selected portions of Tehillim / Psalm 37 below in both English and Hebrew.)

Tehillim (Psalm) 37
(Selected Portions)
[A Psalm] of David. Do not fret yourself because of evil-doers, and do not be envious of them that work unrighteousness.
Trust in the L-RD, and do good; dwell in the land, and cherish faithfulness.
The wicked one plots against the righteous, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
The L-RD laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.
The wicked one watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him.
The L-RD will not leave him in his hand, nor suffer him to be condemned when he is judged.
Wait with hope for the LORD, and keep His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a leafy tree in its native soil.
But the redemption of the righteous is of the L-RD; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
And the L-RD helps them, and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked, and saves them, because they have taken refuge in Him.
