In a 5-4 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court recently lifted a temporary hold on a court order requiring Yeshiva University, an Orthodox Jewish institution in New York, to fully recognize an LGBT club known as YU Pride Alliance.
The Supreme Court noted that the matter was still being decided in the relevant state courts, and the plaintiffs or defendants could appeal the case upon the initial state-level decision.
